New York has always been a city I dreamed of visiting and exploring since my childhood . The iconic sides that we are seeing in movies and the series . Last summer I got a chance to go there with my mum . On 28th of June our trip started .
Our first morning started by walking the Brooklyn bridge and exploring The Big Apple . We walked the whole bridge with morning sun lights . After the long walk,We enjoyed a delicious brunch in Balthazar-a very famous French restaurant . It was so delicious , We loved it !
By the way while walking across the Bridge ,it was nice to see the view . After walking and having the brunch,we moved on to shopping for a while 🙂
As you can see , our first stop was Golden Goose . First I picked my shoe then we moved on to the customization process . By the way it was my birthday present and having them customized made me feel special . Then we went to Sephora , I got a mascara (from Too Faced) , a lip butter balm (from Summer Fridays) a concealer (from Nars) and finally a powder (from Huda Beauty).
Our third stop was Lululemon , I got my dream define jacket of course , apart from that I bought two leggings and one hat.
After a little shopping we went to the Modern Art museum . While walking between the paintings we were truly enchanted and we saw these paintings from Van Gogh and Claude Monet , and our day was over.
The second day was very exciting for me because I attended to a summer precollege in FIT University . I picked interior design-my dream job . It wasn’t so long , but I had seven hours per day and it was four days long .
It was very stressful for me at first but then I got used to the class and friends . Also there was an another surprise for me , everyone was American except one person but she got used to them easier according to me and I was the only Turkish . I understood them easily when they were speaking but the hardest part was trying to catch them what they were saying , well I am not used to speak English fluently compared to them . It made me nervous but they were so caring and cute . Also my teacher , Christine was so kind and she tought us very useful things about interior design . We made a lot of activities and learned a lot ! At the end of this , we went to home because I was very tired and still under jetlag effect . The following days at the work shop were similar . But i must say it was such a good experience for me .
Also we went up to the 102 nd floor of the Empire State Building .This birthday will be the most unforgettable birthday for me in my life .My 16 th birthday in New York will always be a special one for sure ! After this experience the day was over .
After the college we went to Broadway to see The Juliet ! It was such a beautiful show .
We were going to the Central Park ,but we noticed that we were a little bit hungry and we had some snacks.
And we came to see this view and we enjoyed it a lot !
After the days we came to the fourth of july ( We didn’t any specific things after first of july except this and only ı went to college and we bought some memorial stuff)
We enjoyed the Manhattan view and these beautiful fire works .
The following day we went to see the famous grave yard in Brooklyn . It had a good view too .
Of course , we couldn’t leave without seeing The Statue of Liberty . Included this we also went to the museum under the Statue of Liberty and we experienced another unforgettable memory !
We came to the final days , of course we couldn’t leave without eating five guys and it was delicious .
After that day that day was our last day and we went to see the famous Grand Central Terminal ,while ı was there , ı felt like ı was inside a movie or a TV show . Secondly we went to an another famous place : The public Library,It was so good and we bought memorial stuff .
Few hours later , It was the time for us to leave , it was hard to leave.
We came to the airport and we had our last meal in here .A few hours later our plane got off .
We came to the end of our trip . As ı said that it included many experiences . I attended to a precollege , I met with new people , ı improved my english and ı learned new things about interior design . I celebrated my birthday in there , i went up the highest floor . Also ı tried a lot of different culture kitchens like Peru , American , Mexican , Italian and french . This trip was the best trip that ı ever had !
